In the top of the PTSD forum there are grounding techniques that may help you take a look - right at the top

(Thanks to fenrir for my Picture )

When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown,
Faith is knowing One of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.

I have not read through all the replies but will say this anyway.... I was having major flooding waves of anxiety that would get the heart racing and then I would go into a panic attack.... the doc prescribed me something that people use before doing public speaking,
generally it takes away the racing heart.... I found although this didn’t change the anxiety feeling it meant I didn’t go into a panick attack.... it basically stopped the cycle of panic I was in and only took it for a short time. I’d go back to it if the panick attacks started up again. It’s called proponal.... worth mentioning as a possible help but of course talk to your doctor about it.
