I really think I must be a social reject. I don't know if I can do this! I got to university today, and I'd heard so much about it being a lot better than high school, all the people are much friendlier...well, so far they have been, but I went out tonight with the people in my flat and it felt a lot like I was still at school. I kept feeling like they were pushing me out the group or not talking to me, and I felt bad for being really quiet myself (I was the only one who stayed sober, too). It's made me realise that me thinking nobody at the high school liked me could have all been in my head, but I hate that I'm still thinking like this! I don't know if I can do this! And I've got a whole week of nights like this before classes start, too...I don't know how I'm going to cope. I don't know if I can do this!

(Hope this made sense - I may not be drunk, but it's still 1:30 am and I'm tired. I don't know if I can do this!)

Being drunk (even if everyone else in the immediate vicinity is) is not required.

Just think of them as specimens to be examined. I don't know if I can do this!

I was always volunteered the designated driver in college. I enjoyed it. I like to watch how stupid people get when drunk. My roomate locked herself in the bathroom one night and could not figure out how to undo it. I told her to sleep in the tub until she sobered up. Give it time. Maybe you just need to find friends that are interested in the things you enjoy.

((((((((( Rio ))))))))))

I know how you feel! The good thing is there are so many more people and hopefully they are somewhat more mature and hopefully will have grown out of some of their less desirable traits. I just avoided the people I couldn't stand at university! Not easy, but easier than at school!
I don't know if I can do this!

Don't have time for individual replies, but ((((everyone)))) thanks. Luckily last night was a lot better - they've got used to the fact that I don't drink now, and I found out that one of them is actually quite similar to me - he drinks, but has only started recently, and he'd never been to a club before he got here either. It's good to know I'm not alone!

Thanks again. I don't know if I can do this!
