Ok, so as long as I can remember I've always had a fear of basketballs. Like, I've always thought they would hit me in the head or something. In gym class, whenever we would play basketball, I would typically avoid the center of the court and try not to let the ball come near me because it freaked me out. I know this is a weird fear to have, and idk what it comes from.

Not that weird, getting hit in the head with a basketball is pretty uncomfortable!

Most people have a fear of one thing or another. There may even be a name for fear of basketballs. Hopefully, you can just avoid them when and where you can. Good luck and best wishes.

Not any different than what people usually have a fear of.

If you don't have to be around basketballs, that would be best. If you do, maybe talk about prolonged exposure therapy with a mental health professional.
