Anyone else suffer anxiety at the start of the fall season?

- it is dark now at like 7:30. I hardly get home before it gets dark. The darkness sort of feels like a monster inhibiting my ability to do things. And makes me tired.

- Most everyone is back at work and usually there is a 10 week period where it is super busy and you can't really take time off. But at the same time, because this is a productive period and everyone is back... you need to.

- I hate that it starts getting cold enough to put the heat on. I hate my heater and I hate getting head colds.

- Everything just seems more ominous going into fall and winter.

There is just something about it I dislike. Anyone else?

I sympathize with you. While I like the fall/winter temperatures (I'm heat intolerant), I get Seasonal Affective Disorder on top of my usual depression and that makes it really rough to enjoy anything. I use a light box and special light spectrum lamps during this period. It might be useful to you. Sending big hugs.

Even though I've had a very stressful summer, I am worrying about fall coming, yes. It seems to me that it is already getting dark so early. Temperature-wise, though, I will be glad when it stops being over 100 degrees. This extreme heat is difficult to cope with. I will miss baseball when fall arrives...baseball is one of the very few things I find relaxing.

Same here. Though, I actually like the aesthetic of Fall, and I appreciate the cooler temperatures, the physiological changes can be horrendous. I relate completely to the feeling of something ominous coming.

Interestingly, I get more random, completely physical panic attacks in Autumn (versus panic attacks that have a clear emotional trigger).

But yes, this is a hard time coming up. I empathize with you.

This morning I woke up and my house was 65 degrees. I want to put the heat on but kind of refuse. There is this level between 65 and 75, where it is uncomfortable and I refuse to put the heat on. I think I am cold intolerant. I really have issues unless it is 70 and I feel cold t work constantly. Nothing really gets me warm once it gets under 70
