I realize I take too much too seriously. Most things don't need to be taken so seriously. My life isn't threatened every hour of every day, so why do I feel like things are so serious? Is it possible to take everyday moments lightly? I guess I don't expect an answers. I just want to learn to treat moments with less fear and importance. I am tired of being serious!

Everybody needs a break from being seriously on occasion.

I so understand. I am the same way. Everything is always so serious to me. When I laugh, I surprise myself. It feels good to laugh!

Yeah, I wonder what is the point of being so serious and worrying about stuff that is really not that significant when you think about it. Why should I care about expectations and my weird fears?

I hate being so serious. Hated it all of my life. And I do have a sense of humor, a good one! But underneath the seriousness prevails. Maybe it's an aspect of depression.

I have a good sense of humor too. I can make people laugh easily....it might be because people don't expect humor to come from me. That makes it twice as funny I guess.

You could ask yourself "Will this matter in 5 years?" That might help.
Thanks for this!

That is an excellent idea, Jennifer! Too much at work and home stresses me because I make it super significant when very little will matter in 5 years. There are only a few things that are so significant that they will matter and I always have the 5 years to correct them if those things go off course.

Try watching a funny movie or tv show just to get yourself to laugh. It may help to loosen you up.
Thanks for this!
