I think I have a phobia called sonophobia. I'm fearful of fireworks and sometimes I'm scared of lightning, it startles me. I don't mind the not so loud fireworks but the ones that sound like bombs scare the heck out of me. Afterwards I just want to run away from it. I'm sensitive to noise but it's not severe. Are there any tips on how I can cope with this? Thank you

I don’t have any advice aside from the practical - getting a soft, inexpensive pair of ear plugs to keep the noise down to a tolerable level during storms and fireworks. You could also try exposure therapy. Best wishes.
