I never know how my body is going to react to caffeine. There's either no reaction at all, or it makes me really anxious and it'll last until the next morning. So of course the smart thing to do would be to stay away completely. Problem is, I love a latte and this week I've had one or two and I was fine.... So I thought I'd risk it today. Even though I know I'm more likely to get anxious on the weekend. (I don't knw why, maybe because I'm on my own the whole day?)

Hi anxiety. Can't say I've missed you.

Here's hoping I'll make smarter choices in the future!

Although I guess it's also another argument for me to quit sugar. I usually buy those iced coffee drinks from the supermarket which contain sugar. No more sugar = no more iced coffee.

I went to decaf. Best of all worlds and it has a small amount of caffeine to give you a mini-kickstart.

But! Be careful, it can still trigger panic attacks if you drink a decaf when you are already anxious.

It must feel terrible to feel this anxious. Coffee can be bad. And it can only make you feel even worse. Lattes are yummy, but some of them contain up to three shots of espresso, which are about 3 cups of coffee in one serving.

It's so hard to give up caffeine, but it can be done!

I went to decaf, and then tea. But I still love a good cappuccino when out and about, just not after midday, or I don't sleep.

The good thing is that I don't have a caffeine addiction, I just like the taste so it's not that hard to give up... It just pisses me off that anxiety is ruining so many things sure, coffee is just something small, but it's ruined concerts I'd been looking forward to for months.

I’m sorry you are having this difficulty. I have the same problem. If switching to decaf doesn’t help you might need to limit it drastically to special occasions. Lasting all day is a bummer. Do you have anything .prn you can take?

Like I said, my biggest sin is the iced coffees from the supermarket which unfortunately don't come in decaf. But I've stopped drinking those now.
I still occasionally have a coffee at home but I add way more milk and less coffee now and so far that's been okay.

It's those times that I've had the high caffeine coffee and it didn't have any effect that are deceiving. It's tricky when you sometimes get issues and other times you're completely fine!

Maybe you can experiment with making your own iced coffee with decaf coffee and fake sugar.
