Hi,
I find I repeat phrases or words outloud over and over again when triggered by a certain thought or memory.
"Don't, don't, don't!" "Shut up!"
Or just swear words.
This is bad. I work with children. It happens when my mind wanders, like when I'm supervising the children outdoors during playtime. When I'm focused I don't have those triggered thoughts/memories. I've been lucky so far, but I'm scared of getting into trouble.

I need to learn not to do this.

Please, does anyone have any advice? Does anyone do this?
Thanks
Thanks for this!

Yes, I do a similar thing. Repeating the lest thing I said to someone a few times, which is also accompanied by an uncomfortable sensation, oppressive sensation, in my head. I do the swearing thing as well. And the older I've become, the less conscientious I am about being overheard too, similar to you, which isn't what I want. I don't really have any advice unfortunately, I just try to be aware of it and not do it. All the best to you.
