I'm wondering if anyone gets this as well. When my anxiety is really bad I seem to latch on to a sentence and repeat it in my head over and over. Like today the sentence is, "I'm not doing well today" and I keep repeating it to myself and each time it just gives me more anxiety because I think about how badly I'm struggling.
I've tried mindfulness to let the thought go, but it just keeps coming back.
Does anyone get like this? Does anyone have any advice for combating it?

Yes. I’m reading about neuroplasticity of the brain. It’s possible we can “retrain” our brains. I am working on consciously changing the sentences in my head. It’s not easy. ❤️

I do it too! I thought to be the only one, lol. But I do it with any sentence, also not related to my well-being...also more cheerful things. Don't know if you have it too.
My therapist suggested that I give myself a limit, like I can repeat it only three times and then stop, though I'd prefer to go on. I do it also with other compulsions (I have OCD). This is a quite hard one to control though.

I do this too, I am glad I am not the only one who struggles with this. I think the combination of my anxiety and my OCD makes it worse. Or other than saying something (words or sentence) multiple times, I will do things multiple times as a result of my OCD and anxiety.

I do this when I hear of something funny. It will just keep repeating itself in my head.
