hi.

I am wondering if anyone has tips to stop your hand from shaking during a panic attack

when I say shaking, I don't just mean a little shhake, I mean a shake so bad it feels like your whole arm/ hand is just.... doing it.

what's more- I don't know it's happening

people point it out to me

Could you fold your arms across & use each hand to hold the opposite elbow? It's a natural looking position, if you want to minimize fuss from people nearby.

Do you often have panic attacks? Are you able to get away and relax for a bit if it’s really bad? Or walk around? I find that being active in some way helps give me an outlet for anxious, nervous energy.

Hey raging vortex. The only real thing I can think of is if you can somehow overcome the panic attacks in the first place or minimize their intensity - then I'm pretty sure the hands and arms will stop shaking as well. Perhaps your doctor can help you or, yes, the internet. Hang in there rv, keep battle on.

it's more so that I don't like the feeling of being out of control, and these movements will only stop when they want too, not by me stopping them.

but thanks for that- it is still an option

I’m so sorry you go through this. I used to have intense social anxiety and a terrible fear of public speaking. I know how horribly isolating and stressful it is. I’m still quite anxious person but some of it has subsided as I’ve gotten older.
