I have had a terrible relationship with a very loving guy. I have previously also been in a toxic friendship with a guy i was in love with. Now, a year later, i have found the most perfect guy who really likes me but i cannot make the commitment because i start freaking out and having an anxiety attack as soon as i have to make the decision. My best-friend is in love with me and does not support me getting into a relationship with this guy. i cannot let my best friend go and feel cornered. i am very very attached to my best friend. very confused and concerned at this point. Help.
Thanks for this!

I see you already have 6 posts to your credit here on PC, Um. But it appears this was your first post. So... welcome to Psych Central.

Your concern is not something I can really be of much help with I don't believe. However here are links to 5 articles, from Psych Central's archives, on the topic commitment phobia, the first by DocJohn:

What is Commitment Phobia & Relationship Anxiety?

How To Overcome Your Fear Of Commitment

How to Overcome Relationship Fears BEFORE They Take Control

Beat Commitment Phobia by Being True to Yourself

Fear of Commitment? Struggle with Anxiety? Maybe You Are Afraid to be Loved | Practical Psychoanalysis

I hope you're finding PC to be of benefit.
