I broke up with my boyfriend today because my anxiety was getting so bad I felt terrible for putting him through it. Now i'm going to have to learn to cope alone...

Hopefully being here on PC can help you to feel you aren't completely alone... Here's a link to an article, from PC's archives, that talks about what to do when you're ashamed of your anxiety:

When You're Deeply Ashamed of Your Anxiety

I totally understand your need to let go of someone. I, too, feel like my anxiety is crippling to those around me. It's like you can't share it because then it becomes their problem, but you also can't hold it in because its just too much! No one can fully understand unless they have been there. I hope we can make you feel a little less alone. I know it feels impossible right now, but there hasn't been a thing in your life you haven't survived yet, and this isn't any different! Sending you all the good vibes!
