hi @captaineo I am sorry you feel life is meaningless. I felt that way after a big loss in my life. A loss of any kind can shake the foundations of the story we tell about our life and its purpose.

One thing to consider is getting professional help. I am not sure how easy that is to do in Japan because there may be societal stigmas about mental illness. There are online support groups that can help someone not feel so isolated.

Another thing that has helped me is to do self care like exercises before starting work, eating high protein /low carb meals or snacks every 3-4 hours. I try to sleep enough so I feel refreshed. Sometimes I have to take a nap before starting my evening.

Hope you get the support you are looking for. @CANDC

Embracing the meaninglessness of our existence is a start. People are able to do it and live fairly happy lives, for some reason it seems that those of us with a proneness to anxiety either find these thoughts "stickier" than other people or find them to be distressing. You might try looking into existentialist philosophers like Camus or Sartre, they have some pretty interesting thoughts on this kind of stuff.

Sure you’re living a hell.
Are you taking meds to cope with your depression and anxiety?
Are you living a relapse or this is the first time you got this diagnosis?
