I have also been experiencing numbness around my bottom whenever I get these attacks and it is very intense it feels similar to arousal but not at all comfortable or enjoyable and of course exceptionally embarrassing.....this scares me so much though because I feel like I have no control over my body......I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience? I know that numbness of the face and lips as well as fingers and toes but have never heard of this particular occurance before........

maybe talk to MD because this could be originating from a pinched nerve or not - go find out, it's best not to wait too long with these sort of discomforts.

peace and love,

a pinched nerve could cause this kind of feeling? I really hope that's what it is because it's really uncomfortable and it is happening so often that I panic every night when I have to go to bed because I think that I am going to pass out with that awful "arousal" feeling......I have tried talking to doctors about it but they don't take me seriously....esp about the weird arousal part it's like both parts just explode with it for no reason at all and it's really embarrassing to even write about but I was hoping that it would be because of the anxiety attacks ......I am scared to know what it is if it isn't......thank you for taking the time out to answer such a weird question NUMBNESS

Well, when I was on celexa for under a week, it had some wicked adverse effects on me almost immediatly. My body was not happy with the drug I was putting in my system and i felt tingly almost numb from head to toe.

This is not from the medication though.....it just happens when I lay down to go to bed and I was wondering if this could be caused by my anxiety or if there is something worse going on because it is to the point that as soon as I go to bed my bottom starts to tingle and the sensation of a very overpowering and uncomfortable arousal starts to occur...it is horrible to feel like this all of the time and I find it harder and harder to cope.
