This is killing me. Anyone notice or have a reason for why my mornings are sooooo horrid? I sleep good, but I wake feeling startled, anxious and nauseas. I started Zoloft 25mg about 6 days ago, take at night with .5 Klonopin (around 10pm) and then .5 klonopin in the am (about 7am). As my day progresses, things ease up. But I will say, prior to seeking treatment, my stomach was my MAIN complaint which in hind sight was probably from anxiety. I felt like I had ulcers, couldn't eat, constant nausea, wt loss, etc. Had been on long term .25 of Klonopin tapering down for a year from the last episodes. PLEASE tell me this will ease up. Doc wanted me to take 1mg of Klonopin am and pm but I am only 5'6 and wt is 120, I'd never get out of bed!!!

Could the morning nausea have to do with something like acid reflux?

Also maybe your meds are causing some challenging side effects?

I sometimes have difficult mornings too - I wake up startled and anxious. I've had to learn to tell myself to not make predictions on how the day will go based on how I feel in the morning....since I often feel bad in the morning. Morning anxiety and nausea Once I get up and moving around I tend to feel a little better or at least different.

Exercise and fresh air especially helps.

Good luck!

I take Klonopin at night before bed. I sleep really well also, but when I was taking it in the morning also, I was sick as a dog and sleepy, which mad me grumpy. Are you having a reaction to taking both meds? Maybe they are not helping in the way you had hoped.

You might want to notice your thoughts that come to you when you first wake up and when you are aware of your anxiety. See what is there, what your mind is telling you about waking up, getting up, getting ready for your day.

to begin with,
you need to be taking your klonopin 12 hrs apart for it to work best. it needs to be constant in your blood stream and in 2 weeks it should reach a steady state.
also, i was on zoloft and it made me sick to my stomach. i went off zoloft and just stayed on klonopin.
maybe you should try that?
i bet it would help!

With all meds, it's very important to go by what your doctor has prescribed as to how much and when. We can certainly offer support, suggestions to speak to your doctor about, but we cannot prescribe or "tell" someone how to take their meds.

Side affects may go away in time, or they may not. Everyone is different and meds react differently to each individual. I do hope you can get things straightened around quickly.

Wishing you well!
