for the past couple nights I cant sleep i sit up just nervous and i dont know why does anyone know how to stop this

Sorry to hear that you are going through this. I know exactly how it feels. I suffered from it for a long time. My mind wouldn't stop racing, my heart would start racing. It felt awful, as if, I would never be able to fall asleep. You need to talk to a doctor about this. I now take medication to help allieviate the anxiety at bedtime. It helps me fall asleep without any of the anxiety. Occasionally, I do wake up with the panic of it happening again, but it doesn't last. I hope you can get some help so that you can get a good night sleep.

Try knocking off all colas and caffeine early, like noon, and food that stimulate you.
Also, try reading instead of some intense tv drama, or try a light comedy or something, then a hot shower or bath. I like warm honey milk but chamomile and passionflower tea will help you also. Try all the natural approaches you can. Valerian root comes in pill form and you can take recommended amount 30 minutes before bed. That could help too. If and when you get you clock back, try to stay on schedule. Have a routine at night and stick with it. If these things do not help you, you might see your MD. about checking out a sleep disorder or anxiety problem. peace and sweet dreams, nightbird
