sometimes its amazing what the mind can do. it always shocks me what crazy fears i'll have next. especially when things at home get really stressful my mind feeds on it and it goes just all kinds of crazy.
i've had this cut on my hand and i'm pretty sure its from the other day when my fiance and i were play fighting,, but i sat there and dwelled on it and it turned into me thinking that somebody did it to me in my sleep and now i have some sort of infection. Where does that even come from. i'm seriously thinking that i just need to stop thinking it might do me a world of good.

I have the same type of OCD as you do. I get absurd, intrusive thoughts that make me very anxious. The good news: You will start feeling better. I promise. Like other types of OCD, "Pure O" stuff goes up and down. You mentioned medication. Give it time. It will eventually work. The key to beating this type of OCD, I think, is to learn not to argue with your intrusive thoughts. It's the arguing and the trying to get rid of them that usually causes the intense anxiety. I know: Easier said than done. Try this web site, which has some good advice aimed specifically at Pure O-type OCD. Maybe it will help some:
