I'm sure that you can.
I don't know if it belongs in the anxiety disorder thread however.

Where do you think I might go. I really need to talk. It's an obsession but with one very definite trigger.

If this obsession is causing anxiety, then I would say it belongs in the anxiety thread, Boat.

Try us. I think we probably can handle anything that might be bothering you. If you think it might bother some people, just put a warning on the post.

A few months ago I posted on the "Personality Place" area about this problem that I have. I have since been to see a therapist who saw me 3 times to do an evaluation and then recomended about 4 specialists in sexual addiction and obsession. I called all 4 and nobody called back! Let me tell you what the problem is.
First, I'm a 43 yr. old father of 3, ages 20, 17 and 16. My wife and I have been married for 22 years. We have only ever had sex with each other. Neither of us has ever had an affair and are completely devoted to each other. Having said that, here goes. My obsession is with my wife, especially when she has to go to the Dr. Whether it be her annual gyn. exam or just a check-up with the family Dr. I have felt this way for about 25 yrs. The feeling is one of excitement (sort of) and an empty feeling of not being involved in the process. My wife knows all about this and has been very supportive. I will write more later but I need to leave now. There's alot more to this.

That is true what hopestheory said.

Talk here , or in the general discussion thread.

Where ever you want.
