I've just been to talk to someone about being an elf!
Yup... I may be Santa's little helper at a local grotto.
Oh I'm sooo scared right now... when I asked about it I was on a real high and now I'm home I'm like "oh heck... I could be an elf!"
Depressed right now... really lonely, really missing John

But an elf!!!!! Where did my boost of confidence just go? No never mind that... where did it come from and why did it only last like a half hour?

Being an elf sounds fun, I hope you enjoy it. I don't know why your boost lasted such a small amount of time, I have that happen to me too.

Aaaahhhh!! An elf--how awesome is that? GOOD NEWS! (but may need some support)
I know you're scared but just remember how good you felt when you decided to do it. Think of the smiles you'll see on the kids faces!

I think being an elf would be a cool thing. It'd be fun to see all the little kids getting excited to see Santa.

But it's normal to be nervous when you start thinking about any new job. I find it helps me to remember why I want the job and why I think I'd be good at it.

Seeing so many happy kids, so excited to see the elves and the big guy...heck, I'm thinking I might volunteer to be an elf.

I get those quick high/quick low feelings all the time. It's natural when self-doubt creeps in, but that's all it is. Remember that you were happy with the decision before you naturally became nervous about it, and hopefully you'll feel better about it.

I'm a goof. I attributed Alice in Wonderland to c.s. lewis instead of Louis Carrol. I love that quote and sorry about the gaf.
