I have been having a lot of anxiety lately. I have ended a long term relationship recently and have new job and my children have both left home for college. I know I do have a lot going on so this may be related to all of the changes. Is it normal to feel like every conversation you hear is about giving you clues and hints to a game that you are in but not allowed to really know the rules or why you wouldn't be accepted in the group? I took that sanity test and made a 95. I feel my life would be great right now if it weren't for feeling this pressure to win and not know what I'm supposed to win. I am 45 years old, first time to chat every really, and I'm lonely a lot of the time now but other than that I'm fine. I think it would help me to talk to others about what they have going on and get
some input about my anxiety.

Welcome to pc! Sorry you are having such difficulties right now. Sounds like you are at a turning point in your life. Lots of changes. Relationship troubles. That is sure to bring on a lot of anxious feelings. Have you been to any counseling or to any support groups? I dont have any children myself, but wanted to welcome you here, and I am sure others will be along as well. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the site.

You are here for good reason. and these people love to help. I am one of them

Hope to talk to you again,

Colleen

Hello jones20, it's nice to meet you. It does sound like you have a lot going on in your life, it seems natural that you would have a lot of anxiety. You may find some therapy helpful, it will teach you some valuable coping skills, I know that it has helped me a lot. Welcome to psychcentral
