I have to get a CT scan on my ankle today and I am SO ANXIOUS! I am having a hard time breathing and I keep clenching my teeth. My boyfriend is going with me, but from everything I have read, he can't go in with me. There is some big machine and I will be alone....
![]() Anyone have any experience with it? Am I being ridiculously over anxious?

I was very anxious about a ct scan too, you will be alone but it doesn't last very long even though it seems to. Try to do any relaxation techniques that may help, another thing you may try is to plan something fun for after your scan so that you will have something to look forward to. Good luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks. I am glad it won't last long. I have some breathing exercises I can try. I will have to think of something fun. That's a good idea.

So, it turns out I was worried for nothing.
![]() Everyone was so nice, I just had to take off my shoes, lay on this bed thingy that moved in and out of the machine and that was it. It took longer for me to do the paperwork than it took to get the scan. ![]()
