I have been experiencing more anxiety and problems than I have ever had. I was hospitalized this spring for "acute stress disorder".

Anyway, the last 3 mornings as I swung my legs over the side of the bed to get up, my legs literally felt as though they are not there and I go straight to the floor. When I look at my legs, I can see them and then stand up. I'm not having any back or leg problems during the day to explain this. Has anybody ever heard of something like this? It's really wierd. This morning I made a point of looking at my legs before I put them on the floor. When I stood up, they were there. This makes me think it's psycological.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this strange problem?

thanks, tulips

Sounds like it could be anxiety related, also though, it could be that you are still in a sleepy state and therefore are experiencing weird sensations because you are not fully awake yet...you should definitely look into it

I have never heard of anybody having that problem, it could be psychological but it is always best to rule out any physical issues before you just assume what is causing it or that is what my pdoc always tells me anyway.
