What are you really thinking when this occurs? Do you think that you are dumb or something?

I'm still trying to figure out my anxiety as well. The only relief I've ever received came from my pyschiatrist and my psychologist.

Even so, this morning I woke up before my alarm and when I got up I was shaking and my heart was racing. It was Sunday morning and I was freaking out about work on Monday. When this continued for several hours, accompanied by light-headedness, I called the on-call doctor to see if I should be worried by my heart rate (approx 140 bpm). She said if I was worried now I should go the E.R.--advice I'm sure she has to give for insurance purposes. What I did instead was take my meds and waited to see if they actually calmed me down. I'm less shaky and have a slower pulse. And I plan on following up with my doc on Monday, just to be on the safe side.

Hope you find relief.
