Last night I had very strange symptoms leading up to a panic attack, symptoms that were slightly disconcerting.

I was unable to complete a sentence, and my speech became very slow and slurred. I became frustrated trying to speak, because every time I tried I stuttered what I wanted to say, or was unable to finish the sentence. Then I was completely unable to speak then had a panic attack.

I'm wondering if anyone else has every experienced this, or is it any need for concern.

Very scary to have that happen!
Jmo, but it wouldn't hurt to check in with your physician about it.
If you are on meds they may need to be adjusted in some way. My own experience necessitated lowering the dose of one of my meds.

Best wishes,
Cap

Dawr,
I can relate to that because that is the way I get sometimes when my panic attacks kick in. I have had medication changes and it has helped some but still I feel like I get tongue tied. Which seems to frustrate more when I can spit out what I want to say.
Have your Dr check your meds and remember you are not alone.

I have never had that exact thing happen...but I have had it where my chest felt like someone was sitting on it and I had a hard time talking, singing, breathing...Anxiety can bring on many different symptoms, physical pain...but I agree, you may want to see your Med Doc about that, just in case.

I have had a panic attack like that. One night I woke up in the middle of the night in complete panic. I wanted to go to the ER. I woke my husband up but I could not remember his name or the names of anyone in my house. He had to tell me who he was. It was horrible. I thought I was losing my mind. Very debilitating. Your mind can do horrible things to you.My thoughts are with you. I had a panic attack this morning when I woke up.
Thanks for this!

i have been having issues with my blood pressure lately and this has been a major cause of my panic attacks, does anyone know if this could be due to my anxiety? Thanks.
