Is anyone else freaking out about this Swine Flu thing? My kids have been sick for a week and I have had headaches and my stomach has been bothering me for about the same amount of time. I am sure it's just a regular bug but I think I visited every government website today and almost called my kids pediatrition before realizing that I would probably sound insane. I am starting to obsess since I am already not feeling well and I live very close to the Mexican border. While I should have been reading for class today I was reading the newspapers and watching government podcasts.

These are the symptoms:

"Symptoms from those seriously ill in Mexico include high fever, headache, eye pain, shortness of breath and extreme fatigue with rapid progression of symptoms to severe respiratory distress in about five days," the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control said in a statement.

I also just read that 7 people have been diagnosed in California and Texas, only one was hospitalized and the others have recovered.

Couldn't hurt to call your pediatrician's office. At best they think you are a worry wart. I'm sure they've handled at least dozens of calls just like yours already. At worse, could be the real deal and they'll want you to come in and you get anti viral drugs for your kids and keep them healthy. Rather be safe than sorry, no?

Me, I'm considering a trip to Mexico, Swine Flu sounds pretty good right now. No more worries.

Doesn't make me feel better, no meaning to me for sure.
Can't stop you from praying and blessing me,
and if that makes you feel better feel free.
But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me.
And let's all respect each other's feelings.
With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings."
