Input? Some TLC for a broken mother? I'm sorry... but I need it.

Hi Daynight,

I can feel your pain ,frustration, and anger about this . Im not a fan of the side efects of anti phychotics, and its unfortunate that docs put a brain on meds to fix what it really does not understand it, many of us are flailing in the dark for answers. But its all they have the time for .

It sound horrible and frightening. have not watched the video yet Im on dial up.

Doctors are first to do no harm.

I know so little about aspergers, I think there are some paralells between adhd and Asperers as in inability to focus and bieng flooded by stimuli .over senitivity to the environment.

it sounds like your son is easily or overly stimylated sexually ,

i know how this is actually personally. the confusion and the shame that goes with it. I hope you and your son can come to some accePtance and understanding of this so he does not hate himself nor feel shame.

And i don't know what drugs help with bieng over stimulated without turning one into a non sexual being.

As an adult one can come to an understanding much easier than a child can I can only imagive how difficult this must be, to bridge this in your son.

I look back on my brothers behavior ad now wonder if he just could not help it and still cannot, hes 56. and alone..

Asperger never crossed my mind with him . he was very reculsive with drawn from everyone and highly intelligent.

when he talks I cannot follow him at all becaue he speacks like he is from another intelectual world .

he may have innatentive adhd. his life is full of started and stopped prjects schooll etc . and he has a house full of computers . in various stages of repair and experimentation from what my mother told me.

my son's got Asperger's ADHD traits and is about to get a diagnosis of Tourettes.

the combination of it all makes it all much harder when it comes to finding a med that will work.

I try so hard to see my sons behavior as his disorder and NOT as him as a person... he didn't choose this. I love him so so much! I just want to find all possible ways to guide him through this life and for him to feel as a valuable human being - just like others.

Your brothers intense interest in computers make me think of him having a "special interest" as we say is a specific Asperger trait - I mean... to pay extra attention to something and really "live" for it.

Thank you Patricia for your reply!!!
