Although I've been told countless times that I have ADHD by school counselors, teachers, and co-workers... I was lamenting the day that I believed it too. I have for a while now though, and the signs are piling up and/or getting worse. Even now, I had to turn off the tv, the ac, and close the blinds to finish typing this out. I've consistently been late to work even though I wake up earlier than I should, I just can't seem to stay awake in the morning, and hit the alarm off then go back to sleep. I had at one point convinced myself that ADD was something that I could just overcome, forget for a while and be myself again... but I don't remember a time where it hasn't effected me.
I think it's about time to see someone and get some help. I'm tired of being tired, and even more tired of forgetting important parts of my schedule unless I post something on my refrigerator (which is pretty full of scattered papers, mostly old that should be sorted out).
The only problem is going to be money... I just moved into a new apartment with some friends of mine. They seem to understand that I have certain needs/fears, and gave me a room to myself while they share one. I have to pay for a new car, and phone within the next 3 days, or I'm never going to get to work. Also, I planned on starting classes again at my local community college (small class sizes are a must for me), and will have to take out student loans soon.

Ughh... I'm just glad I'm happy right now.

Hello!

I don't have any advice for you but I can let you know that you are not alone. I know exactly how you feel.
I never thought I had ADD, but allthe definite signs were there. When someone asked me if I had it, I was shocked. But it does now make sense. It is hard for someone that has not gone thru it to fully understand how our brains work (or dont work).
At least you have found PC and will have others that understand and can help make it a little easier on you.

Best of luck!

I echo Krystal. For most of us this is a daily thing. My hubby is always telling me to write it down. So I do. Now, which pile is it in???? We live in a whole different universe than most people and some days it is tough trying to play by someone elses rules.
On the bright side. We are NEVER boring.
Have a great day and just remember "NO ONE is normal all of the time"
