Who is on adderall (xr)and how does it work for you? I just got put on it(10mgx1aday) for the fact that I will sleep ALL day and night and I haven't been able to do anything and I was gonna fail out of school. I am bipolar so they were very hesitant about letting me try it. So far its been a week or so with improved focus and motivation but by 12-1 I am coming off it and I have started taking another one at 12 and it seems to be better. I understand this is such a low dose so...will I have a problem getting my doc to switch to 2xaday? I was just wondering how this drug effects others.

Jenni, everybody's chemistry is different so won't matter how it affects others. I wouldn't take 2 a day without talking to your doctor; if you do it yourself you'll (a) run out too soon and the doctor will know you were taking more than you were prescribed, (b) the doctor will be less likely to prescribe it at all (be even more hesitant that it's a good med for you).
