My tdoc

Hmmm... I read in an article my tdoc was an ADHD expert. So I asked if some of my problems were ADHD. He basically said "Yes, many of them are."

I was dxed as a kid with some pretty bad symptoms, but I guess based on tdoc, I still have it. But I know they probably don't want to treat it because I have bipolar and had true mania before, and stimulants can aggravate that.

So I dunno what to do

"Probably." Not certainly, "Probably." Why not ask your tdoc whether that's
true or not? At this point, you're just guessing. Your guess may be right, but you can't KNOW that until you talk about it with your tdoc.

If you had ADHD as a kid then chances are you do still have it. It does not go away just because you turned 18. I had to fight with my insurance company about that same fact. I have bipolar and I also take ADHD medication so it is possible. Ask about what medication options you have. There are non stimulant medications to treat ADHD that will not affect mania.

I would talk to your pdoc about med options or ask your t if he and your pdoc have discussed your meds, etc. Not all cases of ADHD can only be helped with meds, you all are probably working on therapy helps for some of your symptoms.
