If it is the noises that bother you, they used to for me too especially when I started living alone again, I would either turn on a fan and then I got a sound machine it was $22 at Bed, Bath, Beyond and other such places. It plays different things rain, ocean, softly chirping birds, white noise, etc. as options to block out the creaks and moans of the house and the wind. The key though when I went shopping for one is to make sure it has the option to stay on continously and doesn't just shut off after 15-20 minutes. Perhaps something like this would help to be soothing.

Hello, Hahaha...no. Does your treatment team know about the anxiety that keeps you awake and crying?

Try a sleep aid like Melatonin that will help you drift off and the noises will drown in the background. As the byz said, is your treatment team aware of this?
