thinking i have add/adhd-do i consult a dr or a psychiatrist for meds??

Well your Dr. has enough knowledge to prescribe ADHD meds, but sometimes it is helpful to see a psychiatrist to address anything else that might be going on like anxiety or depression that could be comorbidities... I personally got my ADHD meds from my Dr.
