haha...that's a stock photo...probably filed under anything but ADHD. I don't guess stock photo companies have specific photos with that heading. They're all stock photos actually. Chosen by someone docjohn had do up the site design perhaps. From an online photo bank. I don't find it particularly offensive tho. However not the best pic maybe.

Oh and thanks Pegasus!

I can't quite picture myself as a hyperactive skater, although I wish I could!

But really, who gives a damn what images are used? It's not as though they're important

Besides, if we had to be politically correct and try to please everyone, then the picture would have to be of a mixed-race, transgender, formerly female, single parent with multiple disabilities, missing limbs, bad fashion sense and also suffering from ADHD

I'm not sure that's how we look - but that's certainly how I feel sometimes.

Have you noticed that any time someone is speaking about ADHD, either in a professional capacity or informal converstaion, when they describe the symptoms they always do it in a joking manner to get a laugh?

It doesn't really bother me, I've been dealing with ADHD since before it was called ADHD, so I don't get too shook up about how the 96% of adults who DON'T have to live with it react to it. Really just an observation.

It's especially funny when it's a professional giving a speech on ADHD awareness for the purpose of persuading others how serious this disorder is for those who suffer from it.

I also love when someone asks what the symptoms are and when you describe them they say, "I've done that before, I think I might have a touch of ADHD." LOL I can't recall EVER having to ponder, "Hmmm, do I or don't I have this?"

When I was growing up they made the title of ADD, when they finally realized it was more than short atteention span. Really I do not think it changes anything what pic they pick, I am still screwy.

Yes, probably to keep it light.
I also noticed this site has almost nothing on add/adhd...
