I read a post on another site that really made me sink...

After reading this I wanted to crawl into a hole... This quote is "The Perception" that we ADDer's have dealt with our entire lives. It represents the Anger we know we face with every mistake and forgotten promise.

Well... 3+ years post diagnosis "I Know" my ADD is much better controlled.

I understand the behaviors that lead to this anger and it is posts like this that have helped me begin to move forward.

The post just really kind of made me feel like crap

Yep... The sinking feeling of when you realize you have let someone down, again... And you usually face anger and it is assumed you are either lazy or flat out don't care or you would have followed through...

yeah I see it.!

and yeah I did crawl into a hole and yeah I have stayed there...

in my hole where only I can stare at myself in dis-belief!

and when I let myself down like I do...it sure hurts alot less than letting others down so bad ...

so I stay in my hole, I have made it sort of comfortable.

I never let people down on purpose....and I don't let myself down on purpose either

I have no excuse?...but I aint leaving my hole I crawled into long ago...it's mine

Since my ADD Dx, I have felt that I can improve myself and I believe I have, but the damned ADD is still there, pushed down a bit, but there waiting for it's moment to surface. If my marriage fails, I will have my answers regarding marriage for sure. I would get my own place have fun with friends, spend time with my beautiful daughters, but stay in my hole because I know I'll eventually screw up a relationship. The post that I read to inspire my post was like a dagger into me because I could watch my wife read it to me.

My ADD brain is so different than a Non-ADDer's brain, that I don't know how they can co-exist. Each brain is insecure, each fuels the others weaknesses and for then to work together each has to behave in a way comepletely agianst how it was trained to protect itself.

Bugs Bunny had some cool Rabbit Holes, maybe I'll end up with one too.
