HELLO EVERYONE, I WISH I COULD TAKE ADD OUT OF MY BRAIN AND LOCK IT IN A SAFE FOR AWHILE, JUST TO SEE WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE "NORMAL" AND HAVE A SENSE OF CALM AND CLARITY, MAYBE I COULD GET ON A NORMAL ROUTINE AND FINALLY PULL THE STRING ON MY PARACHUTE..
IM 32 AND IVE NEVER BEEN DIAGNOSED AS A ADULT AND I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING YOU GROW OUT OF BUT ITS CLEARLY HAUNTED ME AS A ADULT..IVE TRYED ADDERALL BUT IT JUST MAKES ME SWEAT AND ZONE OUT, AND THEN ENDING UP DOUBLING AND TRIPLING THE DOSES WHICH CANT BE GOOD, ON TOP OF THAT I HAVE TYPE 2 DIABETES, AND HIGH CHOLESTEROL "WHICH ALSO SUCKS A LOT" BECAUSE I HAVE TO BE ON A ROUTINE TO CONTROL MY BLOOD SUGAR WHICH IS SOO HARD TO DO..
IT JUST SUCKS A LOT..THANKS
Hugs from:

I'm sorry I know it can be frustrating...And actually many can't outgrow ADHD... Symtoms can lessen as the person gets older bc they have developed ways to cope...

Adderal didn't work for me either. Ritalin is my best choice right now as I have no insurance. I'd prefer concerta but ritalin is on the $4.00 plan..lol. I was first diagnosed when I was 30. Spend most of my life wondering what was wrong with me. I still have problems with feeling shame and guilt for not being "normal". I'm 37 and back in college now. HAD to get treatment! I was drowning! Good luck to u.
