Does anyone take Vyvanse? How do you like it compared to Adderall? I took Adderall first but it made me a bit mean! So now I take Vyvanse My dose is 60mg but some days I take two to get through the day. What has been your experiences been? What medicine works best for you?

I have been taking Vyvanse for awhile and I really like it. I don't think the "crash" is as hard compared to other meds. It is supposed to be long lasting, like 8-12 hours I think, but that is not my experience. My psychiatrist said that for some people, it does not act long lasting, so 2 doses are needed to get through the day. Also depends on other meds you might take and how they counteract the Vyvanse. Timing is important.

I actually take two doses --- 60 mg in the morning and 60 mg around 1:30 PM. My crappy insurance even now covers it, so it must be pretty common for "adults" to need 2 doses. I don't think it is dependent on weight, because I am pretty skinny and still need 2 doses.

I read that you are supposed to take it with protein and avoid citrus juices, but personally I have not found any difference.

When I first took it, I experienced that "high" feeling, but it went away. Good times initially. LOL
