20mg Adderall

After starting on 10 then 15, I just started 20 about a week ago.

During the past 2 days, whenever I stand up quickly, I become extremely lightheaded...sometimes to the point I have to squat back down to avoid the dizziness. I sometimes feel as though I might faint...VERY severe and alarming.

This is a common sign of low blood pressure from what I understand.

I take Wellbutrin as well.

Wellbutrin should raise BP...as should the Adderall.

Even tho I take a low BP med, [which has never lowered it beyond normal levels] the Wellbutrin and Adderall should be raising it.

According to the literature on those two meds they are notorious for RAISING blood pressure.

So why is my BP so bloody low? Will be making Doc app. this week but in the meantime...

Has anyone here experienced this lowered BP dizzy thing whilst taking Adderall?

To add to my above note...I've just read that although rare, Wellbutrin and Adderall both, can cause hypotension. Which is of course lowered blood pressure. Hmmm...where's my ADDress book...gots to call m'doc fer that appointment...

Adderall causes pulse rate to go up while causing BP to go down. None of the pamphlets I have gotten with my adderall mention anything about hypertension, the hypotension. I do notice that my pulse rate is higher from the adderall and my BP is lower by a few points. I would give it some time, let your body adjust to the new dose and see if it gets better.

I've been on Adderall 20mg 3 times daily and my blood pressure has not really changed, unless I have it taken in the morning after my Adderall and coffee, then the High number is about 20 points higher than my usual 120 / 80

How did the doc appointment go, Q?
