THinking back over my life I can clearly see were ADD has impacted my abilities to succeed but I'm struck with the notion that things have gotten worse as I age. Although life with an ADD brain has never been easy it just seems like with every passing year some of my core symptoms are becoming worse.

Is this even possible?

Anyone else?

Looking back I can clearly say "Wow. My ADHD was why I did..." or "Wow. My Bipolar was my I did..." It's frustrating to think that simple treatment sooner would have helped me throughout my life.

But to answer your question since I slightly went off topic, is I feel this is possible since it seems that both my ADHD and my Bipolar are getting worse with time, especially since I wasn't diagnosed with Bipolar until I was 28 when it got bad enough to put me in the hospital. I try not to think about the bad and the negative side of it getting worse as I get older because I know that won't help in my treatment. I'm not going to be naive and say its not going to get worse, but I'm trying not to focus on it because it will only make me want to give up now.

I'm much worse than I was. For me I think my depression changed me so all my issues got worse.

I often wonder if some of these illnesses are progressive with age and if early treatment (ie. younger age) would slow progression.
