Strattera Withdrawal?

I'm having bad side effects and don't have time till Friday to speak with my doctor. I gave Strattera a few days to see if they would go away but they got worse. So, I'm actually scared to take it tonight. I had planned to take it tonight to see if I would just sleep through the worst of them to give it more of a chance to fix itself!

Are there any withdrawal symptoms that I need to worry about. On Friday or Thur. morning even I'll call my doctor. Ask him about what we should do now, if I can just get through the side effects or can we try something right away or when I have an appointment in Feb. wish me luck!

I have never heard of taking Strattera at night but perhaps your pdoc has good reason.

When I stopped taking Strattera I just stopped cold turkey without problem but then again it wasn't helping me when I took it anyway time.

Well, that was if it made me tired after taking it in the morning. I just thought since they seemed worse during the day if I went to night I would sleep through them. Anyways, I've been on it nearly 4 months and well I was scared enough about not taking it and having withdraw that I took it. Plus, my boyfriend told me that I should take it till I can have a word with the doctor.

I agreed only because I've been through withdrawal with other drugs, it wasn't fun!

it's a non-stimulant, it should not have any serious side effects and many people have stopped it cold turkey. If you only took it for a few days you should be ok. Tell your doc it didn't work and may be he will give you real adhd meds that actually work

Well, it "worked" as I really didn't want to be placed on stimulants! I had some bad side-effects from them, still I might ask if we could try a low dose till summer as they do work. I need something to work till summer as I'm in school so I'm thinking of asking about Ritalin as I know it worked best till my body was use to it when I was 15. Still this was 20 years ago! I don't know but maybe just a good fall back till classes are over with for the summer.

As for Strattera while on it it can have some serious side-effects which I've been having! One was nausea and last night I ended up throwing up in the middle of the night. Woke-up feeling like I was going to die! Anyways I was waiting them out to see if they could be worked through and now I'm at the point where I need to address it.
