I'm quitting Adderall, at least for now, and giving non-stimulant treatment a try. Anyone have any luck for Strattera?
Thanks for this!

I have not used Strattera but it seems there is a lot of discussion on the forums. An advanced search in upper right corner of forum on the word Strattera produced 11 pages of posts.

Yep I was on Strattera for a little over a year. I was on the max dose (100mg) and it wasn't enough for me. The only side effect I had was drowsiness but I made it work by taking the medication before bed as opposed to right when I got up. I switched from Strattera back to a stimulant when school started growing more demanding because the non-stimulant was just not strong enough to manage my ADHD symptoms.

Oh and one other drawback to Strattera was that it can take up to a couple months for the dosage to reach full effect.

I tried Strattera. It did nothing. Nothing bad, nothing good, nothing.

I am currently using Strattera; it is much better (imo) than stimulants. It's more steady-an even keel--unlike the effect of stimulants which can sometimes wax and wane and result in tiredness and feelings of burnout.

I've taken Strattera for several months now and have no side effects that I am aware of, although it gave me headaches and tiredness at first. It helps with motivation, depression, and concentration. It doesn't provide a boost of confidence that sometimes stimulants can induce, and I'm guessing it might be better for your long-term brain health.

The way I look at it-stimulants if a fast effect is needed for the short-term; Strattera and other non-stimulant ADD medications for the long-term.
