I´ve never been diagnosed with ADHD or ADD but I think I have little bit unusual mind. I´m over 30 now and I see that I have some troubles to keep long-term attention, long-term interest in anything. I have always a lot of enthusiasm for many things but usually it´s temporary and after some time my enthusiasm disappears and my attention shifts to something new/else.. E.g. languages - I already started to learn 8 languages in my life every time I lost my interest after several lessons/months.. with musical instruments I had the same (I already tried to learn playing drums, guitar, trumpet.. ).. but the worst issue is my work.. I´m still not able to decide what I´d love to do in my life! I studied some social science, but it was too theoretical for me, than worked in an office.. I just still cannot find anything which would be a passion for me and keep my attention for longer period (at best lifetime). And I started to suspect my mind to not being able to focus on one thing only and keep this attention for many years. I´d maybe get bored... I always need something new, something fresh.. (that´s why like travelling).. but on the other hand, I NEED to create some kind of consistency in my life..
I found some information about how to deal with ADD at work and all those things seem to be really useful pieces of advice in my case as I have problems with procrastination, deadlines, misplacing things etc... Can I have ADD? What do you think? Thanks for any feedback! |

That definately sounds POSSIBLY like ADHD.
But it could be something else. The symptoms must have been present since childhood AND only a qualified professional can diagnose you. Sorry. |
