Hi, my doctor recently increased my dosage of adderall xr due to the lower dose not having much of an effect anymore (it used to help for the first half of the day, though). I think the higher dose is now just making me sleepy. Does that make any sense to anyone? I have had a normal appetite, and haven't been hyperactive or able to hyper focus, and have been kind of forgetful due to the sleepiness. I do feel very relaxed, physically, though. Does this mean that the new dosage is too strong? I plan on asking my doctor later, but am just curious of other's experiences.

I have a relative that takes it believe it or not that is kind of what its supposed to do. He hates taking it because it makes him sleepy and less hyper.

I don't know which type I am exactly, but if I had to guess I would say I'm somewhere in the middle, possibly more inattentive than hyper now. I miss being hyper too (other health problems prevent me from being hyper anymore). I had a bit of insomnia last night, and stopped feeling sleepy and relaxed around 10 PM or so. I wonder if that is because the medicine wore off, or is part of the adjustment period. I am only on day 6 of the upped dosage.
