Do any of you walk around with that nagging feeling that you must be forgetting something? I have a planner, postie notes, lists and all kinds of reminder things, yet I always have that nagging feeling that I'm forgetting something.

Yes. I have lists and lists of things on my phone. And I know I will forget to do something.

Hello. This is my life. I don't have AD/HD like I thought I did, but a LD in memory and executive function so I worry about forgetting so often. I use a calendar, a list app. A good one I use is called Any.Do, which you can check out. It's free. I am starting to make a checklist that I'll post on my wall that I will see everyday that I can check off to see what has been done and stuff. I don't know if it works, but i hope it does. I always believe I forget something. Like today, I feel like I forgot something, but I think I didn't now.

Forgetting to write down on the list you forget to bring with you that you'd forget to look at anyway. 👍 so yes, I do get that feeling from time to time lol

Although forgetting things is not one of my major concerns or issues related to ADD I do, on occasions, worry that I may have forgot to close and/or lock a door or may have left the oven on after cooking something and leaving the house shortly after. And that worry only occur's when I know my girlfriend is out of the house and will return after I leave (we do have different work schedules). She herself is a worrywart and on the occasions where I am in an extreme rush (thats ADD related) there is that very rare occasion that I may forget one or the other, never both. But when it did happen she gets all nervous and never lets me forget it. But the worry is more focused towards her. I think I may forget where I put my keys, wallet, or some other significant item that was important at the time maybe once every 6 months, and usually it's because I was in a rush when I placed the item down and not in a location that is normal. But there is one area where I forget a lot, it's not that significant as it is not something that effects my quality of life or inconveniences someone. I am a gym rat ( great ADD therapy) and I am constantly forgetting how many sets of a certain exercise I did. Depending on the workout routine I'm doing at the time I may do 4 or 5 sets of a certain exercise, and when I get to the last set I all of a sudden forget and ask myself is this the last one or do I have one more to go. It's a short term memory thing, like a name. You meet someone for the first time and 10 minutes later you forgot their name. If I have any worry it's about forgetting a name of someone that I deal with, not on an everyday occurrence, but enough that I feel real embarrassed that I have to ask their name, again.

I'm not sure how many days during the week I can't find my keys, cellphone etc. Pretty much cant find a lot of things...It's so frustrating when 5 seconds ago I had my keys in my hand and now I don't know where they are...Then once I find those I discover I left my cellphone in the house..Then I can't find my car keys I just locked the car with when I go back into the house to get my phone...It's ridiculous...Always takes me more time to get out of the house than I think

It's inevitable I will forget something. I just accept the fact and I will discover what I forgot later.
