HI every one my name is Christine and I was just diagnosed 2 week ago with ADHD. I am just look for some people to talk to and understand . I am not sure what to say. I know that I have always felt different from my peers and all my life have had a hard time expressing myself verbally and paying attention and comprehending all of what was said to me. I hope to hear from any one soon. Christine

Hi Christine! I was diagnosed last week with ADD (I knew I had it for all my life). I never realized how much I have adapted my everyday actions. It never dawned on me that I could get help til my boss told me that I need to focus and work on finishing my work. The next day I went to the dentist and while waiting there I found a magazine with an adult add article. It was then when I realized how bad my symptoms were. I have since seen a Pysch and have been prescribed Concerta, which I believe works well. I would like to hear from others about their meds and how effective they are.

Hi there! My name is Peggy and I too have been recently diagnosed with ADHD... I always believed it was something only kids went through and my boss of many years has always said that she thought I suffered from ADHD but jokingly... little did we both know, she was totally right...
I have been prescribed Adderall XR and find it really makes a big difference in my everday life... I've only been on it a month, not sure how long it takes to really get the full effect but already I am seeing some benefit.
I'm glad I found a group where people know what I'm going through and can help me progress through this.

Peg

Hi, I was just diagnosed today with ADD. It's always nice to hear from people who are going through the same thing, makes us feel like we're not alone. I also have an extremely hard time verbalizing what I have to say. I feel I'm just rambling on but no one understands what I'm saying. It gets me so frustrated. My husband doesn't help any, he always points it out. I will also jump from topic to topic and it seems perfectly normal to me but I see that look on my husband's face and I know I'm doing it again. Since I have been thinking something in my head for a while and it just pops out of my mouth it makes perfect scence to me. I also feel like I always have "brain farts". I will be talking and totally forget what I was saying and go blank. Other times I can't get all the many thoughts going on at once out of my head, it's feast or fammine. Am I alone here? I can relate.
