Has anyone gone from having adderall working very well to having no noticeable effect within a period of less than a week? I was ramping up to 30mg a day over about a 3 week period then was in a really good zone of effectiveness, then nothing. Don't even feel it when I take it, like I didn't take it. I don't get it.

It's possible that drugs can lose their effectiveness over time or become less potent because of food/drug interactions. I suggest you talk to your doctor about it. I'm sure that's frustrating.

Personal experience- when i had my adderall increased too high it felt like that. So i tapered back down and found the right dose for me.

I agree with bipolarmama on this. You can end up taking too much and having it be ineffective, and need to lower the dose. Also, I found out that taking 20 mgs Adderall-XR was better than taking 20 mgs of regular adderall three times a day.

I've been told that you stop feeling the "noticeable effect" after a while, but it is still working for your ADHD, if you have that. I sometimes think my ritalin is "not working" because I don't feel altered at all, but if I ask people, they say I'm still getting a benefit, in terms of how they see my behaviour.
