I am incredibly accident prone. I've had quite a few trips to the ER because I am an complete and utter clod. It is a running joke with friends and family.

For example: I broke my finger when I was trying to put a beater back into the mixer. I had turned off the mixer, but I had forgotten to unplug it. It slipped and turned on and I heard a crunch.

What kind of silly injuries did you have?

I tend to cut my fingers on knives while cooking a fair amount, and have joked that I shouldn't be allowed to use knives lol. Also hitting my head on corners of cabinet doors.

Is being accident-prone (or can it be) linked to AD(h)D? I find that amusing. Yes, I am extremely accident prone. Most of my accidents don't even make sense.
For the most part they are cooking or running-in-to-things related.

I think it can be related to AD(h)D, and there is an actual diagnosed condition called dyspraxia.

I'm generally uncoordinated (can't dance), and have a fair few mishaps. Today I fell up the stairs (have fallen down them before).

My husband says it's because I fly around and need to slow down - he could well be right.

I have had my share of crazy accidents. My favorite was tripping over the threshold going out my front door. I lived in a second story apartment and I fell over the balcony railing on the concrete below landing on my face. It shattered my facial bones and sent a sliver of bone in my sinus cavity nicking an artery. That accident saved my life because I had an aneurysm and that sliver of bone nicked the artery feeding it. I have had so many crazy accident like that. Glad to know I'm not alone.
