It's been ages since I've been here. Life got busy. I got distracted.

Actually, I don't think about having ADD much. I've lived with it most of my life and "back in the day" it really wasn't an issue.

When I was here before, I think I was in a forum that helped me with my depression. I enjoyed coming here, but one person can only do so much and my life just keeps getting more and more cluttered with things to do and with stuff.

My question is this: Is this forum a place I could get support decluttering my house and my office? I know I have too much to do, but I honestly don't know what I can give up without totally ignoring my own needs...

And I'm having such a hard time remembering things and focusing...

Just thought I'd check things out at PsychCentral since I've been here before..

Thanks for listening!

Hello lindammarie: Welcome (back) to PsychCentral! In answer to your question... sure! I don't see why you could not get support for decluttering your house & office. (Actually my wife & I have the opposite problem. We tend to get rid of anything & everything we don't seem to have an immediate use for. I've divested myself of many things, over the years, I now wish I had back!)

As I'm sure you're aware, there are many members, here on PC, with many diverse interests & experiences. So it's likely there will be other members who will share your struggle. It can take a while to become recognized, & to develop a following of like-minded members. But if you keep posting your own threads, & reply to threads posted by other members, you're sure to find the support you seek, I believe.
Thanks for this!

I am too busy... even for a normal person.

But I ran across ANOTHER "get organized plan" that I'm going to try to use.

#1 action (of course) -- put stuff in boxes...

It's 7:39 p.m. I'm just leaving the office. I'll find a box before I leave. That's something, right?

Does anyone check in here? Does anyone know where I can find someone who will be an accountability partner with me?

I am so lonely, so overwhelmed and feel so inadequate...

It's going to take me forever to do the "box" thing... Then I think I'll just have a bunch of boxes sitting around.

I can so relate. I need to decluttering, and I put everything in bags to get rid of...but they have been sitting in my bedroom for weeks.
I don't check in often, I'm usually so busy with my kids, work and trying to keep up with cleaning at home that I have barely time for relaxing and sleeping.

I'm up for being an accountability partner though, or even just someone to vent to/support

Hello Melmo!

I'm having trouble finding my way around the site, but I saw this today and wanted to get back with you.

It's late right now (9:13 & I'm still at work), but maybe tomorrow we can chat -- and figure out how we can help one another stay "on track" in some areas of our life!

Thank you so much for offering. I didn't think anyone would...
