I just can't seem to focus at work. I have Aspergers, anxiety and depression but all of this non focusing as of late has me concerned about ADD. Brain runs on autopilot which has caused ****ups at work and I just cant focus. I have been under stress lately but its getting to the point where I'm considering getting tested even though I'm 30 and haven't been diagnosed with attention deficit as a kid. I had traits but not enough for a diagnosis but even back then I had to be reminded to stay on task and make sure I slowed down enough to do my work properly. I dont mean to offend or bother but I dont like it and I want to get it under control. Sorry for bugging anyone.

There are no tests for adhd but there are evaluations for it. In fact if you see someone who tells you there is a test or has you do one of those blinking computer tests i suggest you find a new doctor. ADHD is diagnosed by personal history and sometimes evaluations like the conners's scale and input from close people who may live with you or grew up with you. Many people are not diagnosed until they are adults and it doesnt mean they suddenly developed adhd it just means the diagnosis was missed when they were a child.

I wasn't diagnosed until I was an adult. It's possible that ADHD is part of the picture. There's no harm in getting evaluated. Even if you don't have the diagnosis you can still find resources and tool out there to help with the symptoms.

Doctor is okay. This is something I would ask. I was diagnosed by a child psychologist..I think. It's been a very longtime. .

I'm going to see if I can get evaluated as an adult. My mom and I talked and I was evaluated as a kid. She said I was " on the border" of it but not enough to make an official diagnosis. I dont know if that will change but thanks for your help everyone. I feel a bit better.
