I have done this my whole life. Just wondering if it is related to ADD. Eyes fix and almost blur, I can hear what is going on but don't want to respond. Husband always tries to "snap me out of it" but it really irritates me.

Anyone else do anything like this

It would annoy me to if I was told to snap out of it and I wasn't bothering anybody. It is certainly possible that you have ADHD, but a lot of other things could be going on too, or it could just be a normal deviation. I don't experience what you described, but maybe others here with ADHD experience similar things. Do you have any other behaviors/symptoms that could also indicate that maybe you should get looked at for ADHD perchance?

When these "episodes" you described happen, what are you typically doing? Are you daydreaming while doing some sort of unpleasant work or chore, or does it happen at a dinner or other social situation with your husband and friends?

Do these episodes personally distress you or cause problems in your life, or does it just bother your husband? If the latter, I'd say your husband has to deal with it "zoning out"
