Usually I don't feel lonely, but sometimes I long to socialize with others. For example, it would be nice to go to a Second Cup or Tim Horton's coffee shop with someone.

Finding people to spend time with me is nearly impossible. I do have one friend, but I rarely see him, because of his work schedule. I'm almost always alone. It's tiring. I need a friend. Unfortunately finding and keeping them is one of my biggest weaknesses.

Why can't I find a friend in a city with a population that is close to 900 000 people?

I am very isolated too... I'll come to Ontario and go to a coffee shop with you if you give me some of that good buzzazepam and a couple beers to wash it down.

It helps to narrow your search criteria so that you know what kind of places and people you should focus on. If you're in school, try classes or clubs. If you're not, try meetup groups or volunteer work.

Do you just want someone to go out and do things with, such as movies or dinner?

Do you want someone you can share specific hobbies with and help each other with projects?

Do you want to learn and grow from discussing the finer points of topics and encountering new perspectives?

How much does personality and lifestyle matter?

I'll buy you some beer as long as you are fine with me not consuming alcohol.

I'm in university. I am at least 15 years older than the average student, which makes socializing difficult.

It would be nice.

I decided to look for an amateur photography group.

Absolutely. I'm always open to learning.

The person must be friendly and open-minded.

I just don't know how to talk to people. I have been told that I come across as intimidating and indifferent. Apparently, I am also boring. I just don't know how to fix my body language and maintain a conversation.

I'm cool with that if you hit me with 4 mg alprazolam or clonazepam. Hell, I'll even buy my own beers. Might not be fun to hang out with if you're sober though is the catch because I'll be belligerent (but likely entertaining in a human-spectacle kind of way).

I don't have any clonazepam or alprazolam. The only buzzazepam, I have, is a bottle of lorazepam from 2011. I only took 5 out of the 30.

The stuff tends to nauseate me and so does alcohol.

Personally I love buzzodiazepines and alcohol. Both quite effective ways to relieve anxiety without addressing the causes of your anxiety! Also useful for escaping reality while simultaneously not working to improve your reality (or possibly even making your situation worse).
