I'm 46 years old and still trying to figure out how to understand myself as far as depression, anxiety and perhaps autistic characteristics.
After looking back at my life and realizing I keep trying to be the best I can be at "life issues" like socializing, the kind of work I think I would like, and just generally getting my thoughts "stable", I started wondering about autism.
So far the unofficial online tests come up with a low end "likely" score.
I just feel tired of not having a good grasp of who I am. I'm thinking that even if I wouldn't be diagnosed as HFA, I could still use the advice for HFA / Asperger's and see if it helps me a little bit.

the best way to find out is to see a professional who specializes in hfa/aspergers and get a good evaluation. that way you will know for sure. everybodies symptoms can vary so widely.
